Born and brought up in a remote tribal village of Maharashtra, Dr. Rekha Chaudhari has an inspiring story of transforming from a housewife of rural India to a global figure in the beauty, spa, and wellness industry. She has transformed the lives of more than a thousand tribal and rural young men and women by providing them free-of-cost wellness education. She has provided jobs to many in various high-end luxury spas, salons, and hotels across India. Dr. Rekha Chaudhari is the First Indian in the Wellness Industry to be honored and awarded with the Philosophiae Doctor Honoris Causa by Sorbonne University, France. Her patented concept of Mothers Touch has got her global recognition with Harvard University, Warwick University, John Hopkins University, and Oxford University accepting her research on the Indian post-natal traditions, which is published and registered on the WHO platform making her the first author on this concept on the world platform.
Dr. Rekha Chaudhari has acquired many patents in the wellness industry, thereby becoming the first one in the Indian Wellness Industry. Understanding the potential of India in wellness tourism, Dr. Rekha Chaudhari has been creating awareness around it in India since 2008. She also had received an invitation from The Kerala Wellness Tourism Board to be a part of it as an advisor. She is also actively engaged in various social welfare activities to mitigate the problems arising out of the pandemic especially for the economically challenged section of the society. She has received the Corona Warrior Award recognizing her efforts in 3 different major efforts during the pandemic time. During the lockdown, Dr. Rekha has been instrumental in reopening and educating the beauty and wellness Industry. Acting as a link between the industry leaders and Government she organized multiple meetings for the reopening of the industry and worked relentlessly to save the livelihood of thousands of people. She has trained women in rural parts of Maharashtra to make designer masks which are created a market for them nationally and internationally.
She also started the Parasmani initiative and encouraged more than 50,000 people through her 250+ WhatsApp groups and directly empowered them with the importance of mental wellness and physical well-being. Through her inspirational sessions and talks to lakhs of women and youth, with her personal story, she has transformed many housewives into entrepreneurs.
