Dr. Rekha Chaudhari was honored with Philosophiae Doctor Honoris Causa Award in Health and Wellness by Dr. John Thomas Prade of Sorbonne University, France in 2019. The doctorate has been awarded by the prestigious French University in association with The IPPT Foundation India.

With students joining from all across the globe, Sorbonne University is a multidisciplinary, world-class institution in Paris providing various degrees, research, and Ph.D. programs.

It was years of hard work, focused approach, and a thirst for knowledge that, finally, helped Dr. Rekha acquire this significant honor. Illuminated with in-depth knowledge, Dr. Rekha is determined to use this knowledge in further uplifting the beauty and wellness industry.

Global Wellness Ambassador of India

Global Wellness Day is the world’s first officially branded International Wellness Day celebrated worldwide on the second Sunday of June. Its mission is to create a lasting awareness among people to live healthily.

Dr. Rekha Chaudhari is the Global Wellness Ambassador for India. She strongly advocates the significance of living well. She believes, “Wellness is not a luxury but an innate and basic need”.

With this very belief, Dr.Rekha Chaudhari initiated the GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY celebration in India. It has now become a widespread concept throughout India with more than ten lakh followers. In 2019, it laid special emphasis on Digital Detox.

Invited by the World’s Best Universities

Big names like Oxford University (UK), Harvard University (USA), and John Hopkins University (USA) invited Dr. Rekha Chaudhari in November 2018 for her study on the ‘Evolving Indian postpartum care through service model- A qualitative study of experience & satisfaction’.

Dr. Rekha Chaudhari is the first and only author in the world to share the research evidence of Indian postnatal care. Her research studies have been registered with the FDA (US Department of Health) run trial registry and ICTRP, World Health Organization.

It is her initiative to revive Indian traditional methods of postpartum mother and childcare, with a focus on ‘Dai’ or caretakers role alongside medical professionals through her foundation called Mothers Touch.

Invited by Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna

In 2017, Dr. Chaudhari received an exclusive invitation to speak as a VIP buyer at the expo by Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna – 52nd Edition. She enlightened the audience at the event with her rich expertise in the beauty industry.

Cosmoprof is a reputed B2B beauty trade show that introduces revolutionary modern technologies in the beauty and wellness industry. The expo in Bologna witnessed 3,033 exhibitors and more than 265,000 visitors from 150 countries. They also facilitate business opportunities between more than 500,000 professionals and over 7500 companies.

In 2019, she was also honoured as the Jury and Chief Guest for the inauguration of the Cosmoprof India Expo. A key supporter of this expo, Dr. Rekha also moderated a Cosmo Talk Show there with industry experts.

Chosen for the Global Mentorship Program

Dr. Rekha Chaudhari was the Regional Director of the Global Mentorship Program (GMP) for India, which was a PRO BONO initiative of the Global Wellness Institute.

It aimed to take the Spa, Wellness, and Hospitality industry to a new level of excellence. It brought together industry professionals as mentors and aspiring professionals as mentees as a means to bridge the need for trained and talented professionals in the industry.

This program generated awareness to create new visionary leaders in the industry and helped major spa and wellness associations in India to connect on the Global Mentorship platform either as mentors or mentees.

Contributed to the Global Wellness Summit

The Global Wellness Summit is an international prestigious conference, highly exclusive and attended by guests purely on invitation. Dr. Rekha Chaudhari received an invitation as a speaker for a table talk at the summit. She spoke on ‘How to patent Therapies’.

Dr. Rekha is the first in India who has taken patents on her design concept and therapies.  As an industry leader, her inputs regarding Indian market has been considered on the world platform for white papers in these forums.

She has become a part of the elite group of world leaders and visionaries who positively impact and shape the future of the global wellness industry.
